Brightest Star – Venue 114 for Caloundra Regional Gallery

Caloundra Regional Gallery is taking Children’s Workshops on the road and presenting a series of workshops for children at Venue 114 between 11 – 13 December. Six sessions are available over 3 days for children aged between 7 – 17 years.

My Brightest Star workshop will explore traditional Origami – the Japanese art of paper folding – and contemporary design techniques to create colour and texture on paper. Participants will design their own original paper using paint transfer and frottage techniques, then create two beautiful origami stars, one to take home and one to hang on the installation wall for the ‘You’re the Brightest Star’ exhibit.

Children under 16 will need a completed parental consent form to attend these events. Please print out the parental consent form, fill it in and bring it along to the event. Parental Form and booking links are available here: https://bit.ly/2hd4r9t **when you register you will need to go back to the site and print out the form, or vice versa if you print the form first, you’ll need to go back to the website and register for your preferred session. Cost: $5, bookings are essential as there are limited places in each session.
