The Friends Regional Gallery Caloundra Inc. present the Local Artists – Local Content 2018 Art Prize exhibition. Forty finalists from across the Sunshine Coast feature in an exhibition at the Caloundra Regional Gallery.

ich liebe dich is a response to the tragic death of comedian Eurydice Dixon. Reflection on the circumstances of her untimely death, I compared how fortunate I felt living in a protected and nurturing environment with its natural and social beauty in a sometimes not-so-beautiful world. Unpretentiously, I seek our region’s simple promises of love and prosperity.
ich liebe dich, German for ‘I love you’, features original photography of regional icons. Birds perched on barbed wire, the Maroochy River, and a bench-seat underneath a cottonwood tree represent the journey of the river from its rural heart to the pounding surf.
