Unearthed

History is also, in great part, mystery  Archaeology delves into the mystery of the past, attempting to solve some of the puzzle of the ages before recorded time. What is unearthed often demonstrates how little we have changed over the millennia.
Pieces of the past resemble pieces of the present.
Something of the substance that has sustained us from then to now it can be held in the hand, held in the shard of clay that was the water vessel.

Our past is held in the present...held in the clay pot resting in the hand...We can touch the mystery.
